encrypted on-device

every file is encrypted with AES-256-GCM on your phone before it's saved anywhere.

your network only

files sync over your home Wi-Fi to a hub you run. nothing leaves your network.

face id lock

unlock with Face ID or Touch ID. no passwords, no accounts with third parties.

no subscription needed

works as a standalone encrypted vault on one device. the hub is optional.

set up your hub

the hub is optional — kiki works on its own as an encrypted vault. add it when you want to sync files across devices or keep an encrypted backup on your Mac or NAS.

1

open Terminal on your Mac

search for Terminal in Spotlight (⌘ Space, type “Terminal”).

2

run the installer

paste this and press Return. it downloads the hub, installs it, and sets it to start automatically on login.

bash <(curl -fsSL https://arcanedata.us/kiki/hub/install.sh)
3

open kiki on your iPhone

make sure your iPhone is on the same Wi-Fi as your Mac. kiki finds the hub automatically — you should see “connected” within a few seconds.

4

import your first file

tap “import file” on the home screen. kiki encrypts it and syncs it to your hub.

can't find the hub?

if your iPhone shows "no hub discovered", check that both devices are on the same Wi-Fi network (not a guest network). if discovery still doesn't work, open Settings in kiki and enter the hub address manually — the installer prints it at the end.
