Privacy Policy
kiki is designed to keep your files private. This policy explains what data kiki collects — and what it doesn't.
The short version
kiki does not collect, transmit, or share your personal data or file contents. Your files are encrypted on your device and synced only to a hub you run on your own network. Arcane Data LLC has no access to your files and no servers that store them.
What kiki does not collect
kiki does not collect:
- Your name, email address, or any account information
- Your files, photos, or documents
- Usage analytics or crash reports sent to third parties
- Device identifiers, advertising IDs, or location data
- Any data that leaves your device to Arcane Data's servers
How your data is stored
Every file you import into kiki is encrypted on your device using AES-256-GCM before it is saved or transmitted anywhere. Your encryption keys are stored in the iOS Keychain on your device only.
If you use the kiki hub for syncing, your encrypted files are stored on a computer you own and control — not on Arcane Data's servers. The hub only ever receives and stores encrypted data that it cannot read.
Third-party services
kiki does not use third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or crash-reporting services. The app makes no outbound network connections except to the hub you configure on your own local network.
Children's privacy
kiki does not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Because kiki collects no personal data from any user, this applies to all ages equally.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes materially, we will update the date below and post the revised policy at this URL. We will not make changes that retroactively reduce your privacy protections.
